If you have more than one MobileX line — for example, a family member’s phone or a second device — you can now manage them all under one account using our new Multi-Line Management feature – Xtensions.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: Open the MobileX App
- Make sure you're logged into the MobileX app using the account that will act as the main or parent account.
- Make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the MobileX app on the accounts you are wish to link. This feature will only work on app version 5.2.0 or higher.
Step 2: Send an invite to the line you want to link
- In the app, go to your Account Settings.
- Tap on “My lines”
- On the My Lines screen tap the option to “Request to manage an existing line”.
- Enter the MobileX phone number of the line you want to link (this is the child line).
- Tap Request to manage.
Tip: The line you’re inviting must already be active on MobileX and have the MobileX app installed.
Step 3: Accept the invite on the Child Line
- The invited line will receive a push notification on their phone.
- Tap the notification, and then accept the invite inside the MobileX app.
Don’t see the invite? Make sure the child line is logged into the MobileX app and has push notifications enabled.
Step 4: Manage all lines from one account
Once accepted, you’ll be able to:
- View usage and plan details for all linked lines
- Switch between lines easily within the app
- Keep everything organized in one place
Pending Invites
If an invite hasn’t been accepted yet, you’ll see it listed as “Pending.” You’ll have the option to cancel or resend the invitation from your app.
Things to Keep in Mind
- Only active accounts that were created on the same app are eligible for line management. If you are trying to link a MobileX app account with a MobileX for Walmart app account the linking will fail.
- If the invite fails, double-check that both lines are active and that both accounts originated from the same app.
- You can remove a linked line at any time from your account settings.
